Soon after touching the churches and cathedral of BOM Jesus we hit upon narrow roads of this fascinating town. The road meanders through native villages with typically tiled huts, built to counter the onslaught of frequent lashing rains, a few rice fields, churches here and there and Bengali ” Shoni Mondir” type street corner structures which shelters the “Christian Cross” and which are lit up by cute little low power colorful electric lamps, probably to quench the thirst of light from the engulfing darkness of the night.
Modern day snack bars are quite recurrent along the path to the great water fronts of the city with a pub in almost all corners serving chilled beer mostly all throughout the day. Atmosphere scintillating!

The crowd centers along the coastline where shacks and inns are in multitude which bursts into life just after sunset on the western waters of the country.
We reached our destination…a cool half hour drive to one of the superb budget accommodation just by the beach. The scent of the sand, the salt of the sea and super sublime scenic(s) of this place had already mesmerized us by then …here the sun was just above the horizon, ready to dip in for the day. The game of glaze had just started…the painter was getting ready with his canvas and palette….his brush was just about to get magical…. It was time to open our eyes and stay witness to such divine spectacle once more ….we knew we have reached COLVA!
